Her Haven Transitional Housing was created from lived experience and a deep understanding of what it means to navigate crisis without a stable or supportive place to land. Too many women remain in unsafe homes, endure emotional trauma in silence, or face sudden housing instability without guidance, resources, or community. In these moments, survival is often prioritized, while healing is postponed or overlooked.
Her Haven exists to change that. We are a healing-centered, structured environment where women are actively supported as they rebuild their lives. Through connection, accountability, and whole-person support, residents are empowered to reclaim their identity, restore stability, and move forward with confidence and dignity.
To provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering transitional home where women can heal, rebuild, and rise into lives rooted in stability, self-worth, and purpose.
A world where women in need have access to a restorative sanctuary during her most vulnerable moments, a place where healing becomes home.
CEO, Advocate, Author
Marisa Mason was born and raised in New Jersey, shaped by a close-knit community of family and friends who supported her as she navigated culturally diverse environments and complex life experiences. From an early age, Marisa faced profound challenges, including trauma, abandonment, fractured family relationships, and periods of homelessness. These lived experiences became the foundation of her commitment to advocacy and service.
Driven by a deep sense of purpose, Marisa pursued higher education as a pathway to stability and leadership. She earned an Associate’s Degree, two Bachelor’s Degrees, and a Master’s Degree in Business Management with a specialization in Public Administration. Her academic journey strengthened her ability to lead programs that are both compassionate and structurally sound.
As a woman of faith, Marisa is committed to walking in her purpose, leading with integrity, and using her voice to inspire others. Through Her Haven Transitional Housing and her work as an author and advocate, she seeks to empower women and families to reclaim their identity, rebuild their lives, and move forward with intention and dignity.
